QC Chemist I

KVK Tech is seeking a QC Chemist I to join our team in Newtown, PA.

The QC Chemist I will perform routine analytical testing to support the release of raw materials, packaging components, in-process samples, finished products, and stability studies in a cGMP-regulated environment. This role operates laboratory instrumentation, executes validated and compendial analytical methods, and maintains accurate, ALCOA-compliant documentation in support of product quality and regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong foundational laboratory skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed procedures while contributing to QC laboratory readiness and compliance.

This position’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Perform routine chemical and physical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished drug products using validated or compendial test methods.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, UV-Vis, pH meters, KF titrators, balances, and dissolution equipment.
  • Prepare standards, reagents, and mobile phases in accordance with approved laboratory procedures and safety requirements.
  • Document analytical activities contemporaneously in laboratory notebooks, worksheets, and electronic systems per cGMP and Data Integrity expectations.
  • Verify analytical results against specifications and promptly report OOS/OOT or atypical findings to supervision.
  • Support laboratory housekeeping, equipment maintenance, waste management, and safety compliance requirements.
  • Assist with method transfers, validation activities, and QC investigations as assigned.

We are looking for applicants with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related scientific field.
  • 0–2 years of pharmaceutical or analytical laboratory experience; internship or academic research experience may be considered.
  • Foundational knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC, UV-Vis, titration, dissolution, and pH measurement.
  • Working understanding of cGMP, GLP, and Data Integrity requirements, with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with LIMS is preferred.
