Procurement Associate
KVK Tech is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Associate to join our team in Newtown, PA.
The Procurement Associate will support the sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services essential to pharmaceutical manufacturing and business operations. This role ensures procurement activities are executed in compliance with company procedures, cGMP requirements, and approved supplier programs while maintaining cost effectiveness, supply continuity, and accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of purchasing fundamentals, supply chain coordination, and cross-functional collaboration within a regulated manufacturing environment.
This position’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders for approved materials, equipment, and services in accordance with internal purchasing procedures.
- Obtain and evaluate competitive supplier quotations and support purchasing decisions based on cost, quality, and lead time.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to proactively prevent material shortages or production disruptions.
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming materials.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm order status, resolve discrepancies, and expedite deliveries when required.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation within the company’s ERP system and support audit readiness.
We are looking for applicants with:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline strongly preferred; Associate degree with equivalent experience may be considered.
- 0–3 years of relevant procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing or cGMP-regulated environment preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SYSPRO, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of purchasing principles, supplier management, and supply chain workflows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of cGMP principles and ethical procurement practices preferred.
