Pharmaceutical Cleaning Technician

KVK Tech is seeking a Cleaning Technician to join our team in Newtown, PA.

The Cleaning Technician supports pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging operations by ensuring production equipment and controlled manufacturing areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This role is responsible for disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling production equipment as well as maintaining production rooms, wash areas, and staging spaces to ensure compliance with strict cleanliness and contamination control standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to follow written procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant pharmaceutical production environment.

This position’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Clean and sanitize pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cGMP requirements.
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble production equipment components such as mixers, blenders, mills, tablet presses, coating systems, and packaging machinery.
  • Perform manual and mechanical cleaning of equipment parts using approved detergents, disinfectants, and sanitizing agents.
  • Inspect equipment components and product-contact surfaces to ensure cleanliness and readiness prior to equipment release for production use.
  • Maintain equipment washrooms, cleaning stations, and related production support areas in a clean, organized, and inspection-ready condition.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of manufacturing and packaging production rooms, equipment staging areas, and controlled processing environments when equipment cleaning activities are not in progress.
  • Accurately complete cleaning logs, equipment records, and related documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

We are looking for applicants with:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, sanitation, equipment cleaning, or production support roles preferred.
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food manufacturing, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and follow written procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and compliance standards.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely handle and clean equipment components.
  • Ability to accurately complete documentation and maintain organized records.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
