Procurement Supervisor

KVK Tech is seeking an experienced Procurement Supervisor to join our team in Newtown, PA.

The Procurement Supervisor is a hands-on, working supervisor responsible for overseeing day-to-day procurement activities while actively performing purchasing functions alongside the procurement team. This role plays a critical role in supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations through the compliant and timely sourcing of materials, with particular emphasis on active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and excipients. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in pharmaceutical procurement, the ability to develop and guide procurement staff, and the judgment to serve as a trusted escalation point within a regulated manufacturing environment.

This position’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Execute purchasing activities for raw materials, including APIs and excipients, as well as components, consumables, equipment, and services in support of manufacturing and operational needs.
• Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to Procurement Associates to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant execution of procurement activities.
• Serve as a hands-on resource and coach for procurement staff, reinforcing best practices related to API and excipient sourcing, documentation, and supplier coordination.
• Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders in accordance with approved supplier lists, internal procedures, and cGMP requirements.
• Review supplier quotations, lead times, specifications, and supporting documentation to support informed purchasing decisions.
• Maintain accurate procurement records within the ERP system and support audit and inspection readiness.

We are looking for applicants with:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 6–10 years of progressive procurement or purchasing experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience purchasing APIs and excipients, including interaction with approved suppliers, specifications, and regulated documentation, is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in a lead, senior, or supervisory procurement capacity, including coaching or guiding other procurement staff.
• Hands-on experience working within ERP-based purchasing systems.
• Strong working knowledge of cGMP principles and regulated procurement practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
