Weighing & Blending Operator
KVK Tech is seeking a detail-oriented Weighing & Blending Operator to join our team in Newtown, PA.
The Weighing & Blending Operator will perform the weighing, dispensing, staging, and blending of raw materials used in oral solid dosage (OSD) manufacturing. This position requires the ability to follow approved Master Batch Records, accurately handle and reconcile materials, operate manufacturing equipment, and maintain strict compliance with cGMP and documentation requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform manufacturing activities safely and accurately in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
This position’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Weigh, measure, dispense, label, and stage raw materials according to approved Master Batch Records, manufacturing instructions, and production schedules.
- Verify material identity, lot numbers, quantities, expiration or retest dates, and material status before use.
- Set up, operate, and monitor blenders, mills, sifters, scales, vacuum transfer systems, and related material-handling equipment.
- Perform required in-process checks, material reconciliations, and yield calculations to confirm compliance with established requirements.
- Perform equipment disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, changeovers, and line-clearance activities according to approved procedures.
- Complete accurate and compliant entries in batch records, equipment logs, cleaning records, labels, and electronic systems in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
We are looking for applicants with:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0–3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, chemical, or another regulated production environment.
- Experience with weighing, dispensing, blending, milling, sifting, granulation, or other OSD manufacturing processes preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of cGMP requirements, Good Documentation Practices, SOPs, and controlled manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to perform calculations involving weights, quantities, percentages, yields, and material reconciliation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality and safety.
